In the second half of 40's, Walter Antonini established a little hand crafting workshop, where the founder started his activity of mechanical metalworking. In the next twenty years, the industrial future of Family Antonini took root thanks to their skills and high technical traditions of the Italian shipping industry.
In 1963 O.L.M.E.C. is considered one of the most important international manufacturers of offshore platforms and manufactured products for research and production of hydrocarbons.
With the time, O.L.M.E.C. widens its activity with the construction of bridge-cranes, cylindrical heat-exchanger ovens, and ballistic steel hulls for tanks.
