MABOQUEIRO PROJECT - ROLLUP JACKET
It is designed for exploration and primarily for hydrocarbon production, typically at depths up to 300 meters. The two support legs are initially constructed onshore and then rotated 90 degrees during a process called "Roll up."
The assembly operation of Jacket platforms for oil rigs involves several main phases: Initial Design: Engineers design the Jacket structure considering technical specifications, environmental conditions, and safety requirements. Component Production: Steel tubular components and other structural elements are fabricated according to project specifications. Each component undergoes inspection and testing to ensure it meets quality and safety standards. Onshore Assembly: Some parts of the Jacket are pre-assembled onshore to facilitate subsequent assembly. Structures and necessary equipment for lifting and transporting the Jacket are then prepared.
After the Jacket's Roll up, further stages are planned: Loading onto Transport Vessels: The pre-assembled structure is loaded onto ships or barges specially designed for offshore transport to the installation site. Installation and Offshore Assembly: The Jacket is positioned vertically on the water near the installation site, where it will be fixed to the seabed. Connections for electricity, communication systems, and other infrastructure needed for platform operation are made. Inspections and Tests, Safety Inspections: Detailed inspections are conducted to verify the structural integrity and safety of the Jacket.
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of the complete platform (Jacket structure, Deck, Flare, 4 foundation piles), supply of mechanical equipment and piping systems, chemical and process skids, packages, installation of electrical/instrumentation systems, painting and insulation, including shelters and E/I technical room, onshore testing and pre-commissioning, sea loading and securing, hook-up, and commissioning up to start-up assistance. Deck: 1400 tons, Jacket: 2000 tons, Piles: 2000 tons.
