GRUPPO ANTONINI RENEWS ITS SUPPORT FOR THE WOMEN’S PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF LA SPEZIA
Anche quest'anno, Gruppo Antonini ha scelto di affiancare la Consulta Provinciale Femminile della Spezia a sostegno delle sue iniziative.
Also this year, Gruppo Antonini has chosen to support the Women’s Provincial Council of La Spezia, backing its initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality, enhancing female talent, and raising awareness on key social issues.
Founded in 1992 and officially recognized by the Province of La Spezia in 1996, the Council is an advisory body working to eliminate all legal and cultural obstacles to the full participation of women in political, economic, and social life. Its commitment is concrete and cross-cutting, involving associations, unions, and political forces.
The Council’s flagship project is the prestigious “Porto Venere Donna” Award, established in 1996 and now in its 29th edition, honoring outstanding women in their fields. The award is sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Liguria Region, the Province of La Spezia, the Municipality of Portovenere, and the Gender Equality Councillor.
On August 9, 2025, in Piazza Spallanzani in Portovenere, Mariella Nava, singer-songwriter and musician, will be honored. Known for her iconic songs and strong social commitment, Nava, already a Knight of the Italian Republic for artistic merits, has stood out over the years for the sensitivity with which she addresses civil, ethical, and social issues through her music.
Over the years, the Council has promoted dozens of conferences, cultural events, exhibitions, and educational projects in collaboration with schools, institutions, and other associations, addressing central topics such as gender-based violence, women’s role in the workplace, equality of rights, environmental protection, and sustainable development (in line with the UN 2030 Agenda).
