MABOQUEIRO PROJECT: COMPLETED AND READY TO OPERATE
Gruppo Antonini is pleased to announce the completion of the Maboqueiro platform, an innovative project marking an important milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy.
Gruppo Antonini is pleased to announce the completion of the Maboqueiro platform, an innovative project marking a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy and technological innovation. The platform, soon to arrive in Angola, will be operational and make a substantial contribution to both the local and global energy landscape.
With a deck weighing approximately 1,400 tons, a jacket structure of around 2,400 tons, and foundation piles totaling 1,600 tons, Maboqueiro represents one of the most impressive and complex achievements by our group.
The Maboqueiro Project is also the first EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project carried out for Azule Energy, a company partially owned by ENI and a key player in Angola’s Oil & Gas sector.
This platform is an integral part of the Angola NGC (New Gas Consortium) Project, designed for the extraction of condensate gas from the Quiluma and Maboqueiro fields.
Production is expected to start in 2025, with a capacity of approximately 330 million cubic feet of gas per day, equivalent to about 4 billion cubic meters per year.
The Maboqueiro platform consists of a jacket built with tubular steel components, anchored to the seabed using four foundation piles, each 120 meters long and approximately 1.7 meters in diameter, and a deck measuring 25 × 30 meters with a total weight of 1,400 tons.
The structure includes six well slots (four operational and two spare) and an operating gas pressure reaching 60 bar.
An innovative aspect of this project is the complete digitalization of all quality reports, managed through CCMS software, enabling advanced data and operations management, including monitoring of maintenance phases.
