EPCIC WHPA PLATFORM

The EPCIC Contract will include Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Transportation and Installation, Mechanical Completion, and Commissioning activities. The platform consists of: No. 1 4-leg Jacket with 8 sleeves, weighing 6,500 tons No. 8 Foundation Piles, weighing 4,500 tons No. 1 Topside, weighing 7,500 tons No. 1 Living Quarters, weighing 900 tons No. 1 FMWR (Fast Move Workover Rig), weighing 3,000 tons The platform will be installed in the Bar El-Sallam offshore basin, approximately 120 km offshore from the Mellitah onshore complex, in the Mediterranean Sea, for gas production from the field located in the central part of Area D (formerly Area NC41). The platform will be fabricated at three different locations in Italy and Egypt, through a Joint Venture composed of three Italian companies and three fabrication yards. The EPCIC scope of the WHPA platform includes: Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication of the entire platform, Primary and Secondary Structures, Mechanical Components and Piping Systems, Electrical and Instrumentation Systems, Equipment and Automation Systems, Insulation and Painting, Supply and Operation of the FMWR, Load-out and Transportation to site, Offshore Lifting and Installation, Platform Hook-up Activities, Living Quarters Hook-up and Offshore Installation of the FMWR, Offshore Hook-up and Commissioning for system integration with the existing Sabratha platform, connected to the WHPA platform, Commissioning up to Ready for Hydrocarbon-In condition.
